Have you ever thought about what you want the community at large to say about you and your organization?
It does not matter what stage you are at in your business or what your business is, now is the time to decide what you want to stand for and begin the process. And it really is a process. Take some time and list all of the causes you feel are worthy ones. Think carefully. Your list should also include the arts and any other educational based not for profit organisations.

Sure, community involvement is one of the way we can differentiate from our competitors. For many, our charitable donations are so scattered, they feel meaningless. And if we are removed from the volunteers that are providing the services, its hard to really know the value. I have just published a book on the financial planning aspects of charitable giving - many people have a heart for giving but don't know the alternatives or tax implications. In the book, I provide a worksheet so people can discover ways to give that match their financial situation and their personal values. Find out more at www.elainekelly.ca Thanks!
